Brass Instrument Wall Installation
This large-scale wall installation, located at the Père Marquette Renaissance Arts Hotel, is composed entirely of reclaimed brass instruments and salvaged metal components. Trumpets, trombones, and horns are deconstructed and reassembled into a rhythmic, sculptural composition that celebrates both musical heritage and material reuse. The work transforms once-functional instruments into a unified visual orchestra, where patina, wear, and variation become expressive elements. Through recycling and recontextualization, the installation honors jazz culture, craftsmanship, and sustainability while activating the architectural space with movement, history, and sound-inspired energy.

Corten Steel Umbrella
This large-scale outdoor sculpture features an oversized metal umbrella with positive, affirming words cut directly into its surface. As light passes through the cutouts, the words cast shifting shadows on the ground, reinforcing the sculpture’s message of protection, hope, and community. Designed for a public setting, the piece invites reflection and interaction while serving as a visual symbol of shelter, resilience, and shared values.

Jazz Tradition
The Fairfield Hotel in New Orleans features a wall-mounted installation by artist Benjamin Bullins composed of a collage of reclaimed brass musical instruments. Trumpets, trombones, and other brass elements are assembled into a dynamic composition that reflects the city’s deep musical heritage. Through reuse and recontextualization, the work bridges jazz tradition with contemporary assemblage, activating the space with texture, rhythm, and cultural memory.

The Vintage
The Vintage on Magazine Street in New Orleans features small bites, cocktails, and beignets within an artistically designed space by Benjamin. Key elements of the interior include a reclaimed shoe-shine chair and a repurposed piano transformed into an ottoman. This body of work integrates functional design with sculptural reuse, blending New Orleans character, vintage aesthetics, and sustainable materials to create a distinctive and immersive hospitality environment.
